The Apple iBook G4 features a features tough but attractive design, along with better than average graphics for a budget laptop. It runs on the Tiger OS, and includes a good selection of quality Mac software.
The iBook G4’s other big advantage is its light weight of just 4.9 pounds, making it a highly portable solution — perfect for frequent travelers.
As an economical system, one may not expect much from the G4. In many ways, however, it exceeds expectations, with smooth DVD playback and photo editing.
The only real limitations are the small hard drive, and relatively slow start-up time. The lack of memory card slots may annoy some users as well.
Overall, however, this iBook’s attractive price tag makes it excellent value for money.
