Aorus X3 Plus – Review

If a few years ago I told anyone that there would be a 13.9 inch gaming Laptop people would have laughed. Packing all the power needed for gaming laptops is one of Aorus greatest conquest the last few years. And this new Aorus X3 Plus is clearly the Ferrari of gaming laptops.

What this small giant has to offer:

Let’s start with the graphics, the Aorus packs an NVIDIA GTX 870 M, more than enough to run some heavy rendering. The processor comes from Intel’s latest core i7 CPU. The X3 Plus also comes with 8 GB DDR3L with 2 slots that can be expanded to 16 GB. The storage varies on the different models between 128 GB to 512 GB. A nice touch is the use of SSD instead of regular hard drives. Since we know you are going to be using it a lot, it’s important to have the security of a Solid State Drive.

An amazing 3200×1800 Wide Viewing Angle LCD Display.

The 13.9″ display pack a lot of power and HD resolution for an amazing gaming experience. The Wide Viewing Angle is great, especially when playing games with friends, they will be able to watch you play without getting that obscurity some displays have.

Gaming is lighter than ever!

Aorus has a big statement to make with this laptop. According to the company the 4.12 pounds that make this 13.9″ machine makes it the lightest gaming machine out there. That makes gaming both high resolution and portable. It has only a 9-inch thick body. All of this without losing style, the machine comes in all black with a backlit keyboard and the option to use Individual Macro Keys.

Light, but heavy on the budget.

When you are out shopping for a gaming laptop, it won’t be a surprise to have to deal with high prices. Having great graphics with a small body isn’t cheap to make. The Aorus X3 Plus is no exception, to take this little powerful machine home it takes $2,299. A bit salty for most of us, for sure. But if you are a gamer reading this right now, I imagine you running to your wallet and grabbing the credit card, for you my friend this is a must.
